If you're in the Gettysburg area, take the time to make the short trip on Route 30 East (40 miles) to this fascinating museum.  Their new exhibit, which opens on July 6, 2019 and runs through January 30, 2020, features 18 authentic Civil War watches drawn from 4 museums and 10 private collections. Also on display is a selection of other period watches and outstanding Civil War artifacts. A self-guided tour gives context about the watches, their first owners, their deeds, and their lives.

Check out the flier above for further info, or check out the museum's web site.
