To our Horse Soldier customers, vendors, and friends:

Many of you have been wondering when the Horse Soldier will be reopening. As of right now, the Horse Soldier plans to reopen on Thursday, June 4th, which was Governor Wolf’s initial reopen date for Adams County. So, despite the new reopening date of May 22nd, when Adams County moves to the yellow phase, the Horse Soldier will remain closed to the public. When June 4th rolls around, we do not plan to reopen the shop to the public on an open-door basis. We will be open by appointment only at the discretion of our owners; customers will be required to wear a mask when entering the shop. As some of you may know, many of our employees have chronic health conditions that require extra vigilance due to their susceptibility regarding coronavirus and it is our major intention to keep the Horse Soldier family and its customers safe. With the unknown state of affairs and folks coming into town now that regulations are being loosened, we intend to stay under restricted contact until the threat of coronavirus passes.

Please know that we are still here to serve you. You will reach one of our office staff on Mondays and Thursdays via telephone. Email is always the fastest way to reach us; you may do this by emailing us at [email protected].  Packages will still continue to be shipped out on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Although it’s been interesting coping with a new way of doing things in the office and in the shop, we are still working on bringing new items your way. We’ve got most of the kinks worked out and by the time we’re operating smoothly, it’ll be time to reopen the shop on a full-time basis. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay sane. We’ll see you soon.

Thank you,

The Owners & Staff of The Horse Soldier
