US ARTILLERY GREASE BUCKET

Heavy iron cylindrical bucket that meas. approx. 8.50 inches tall x 7.25 inches across. The top and bottom both have a re-enforced iron band riveted in place. Attached to the top of the bucket is a round iron lid with ears on each side. One ear is anchored to the bucket while the other is not. This allows the lid to be swiveled to one side for use. Attached to the bucket is a heavy iron chain with an “O” ring at center. The body has most of the original black paint but there are some scattered rust spots. None of the rust has worn through. The piece is still solid.
