This shell has an iron body and a brass sabot. The body has a deactivation hole on one side and moderate to severe pitting over the entire surface. Some of the pitting is deep. The fuse hole still has remains of the fuse adapter. The sabot shows five lands and grooves from having been fired.

This shell was meant for use in the 30 pound Parrott rifle.
