The body of this shell has heavy to light pitting with small amounts of material loss on the nose. There is also light surface rust throughout. Both the upper and lower bourrelets are visible. The fuse hole in the nose has a copper fuse plug adapter. There are some small amounts of chipping on the edge of the adapter. There is no lathe dog.

Sabot is a copper ring with seven lands and grooves from having been fired.

This projectile was meant for use in a 3.00 inch gun like the Ordnance rifle.
