Complete 6-inch spherical shell with light to moderate pitting and some small amounts of surface material loss and light rust. About 75%-80% of the original finish remains. The base has drilled deactivation hole. Top of shell has the Confederate copy of the Bormann fuse which begins with a long .5 second tick mark. Fuse still shows all the time graduation marks and is in nice unused condition.
Shell was meant for use in a 6lb smoothbore gun.
This is a rare sized shell with a rare fuse.
