The original wood fuse plug still remains in the fuse hole of this Confederate spherical shell. The body of the shell is pitted and heavily rusted but it can easily be cleaned with some zinc, water and lye.
Shell was meant for use in 12lb smoothbore cannon.
Area of recovery is not known.
