Complete shell with a clean body and moderate pitting throughout.
The fuse hole in the nose is smooth with no threads showing this shell used a wood fuse plug and paper time fuse which are now gone. The base has an iron ring sabot with a lathe dimple at center of the base. The bottom edge of the sabot shows some very minor material loss.
Shell was meant for use in 10lb Parrott gun.
Area of recovery is unknown.
