The body of this unfired shell is in mostly clean condition. Most areas are smooth but there are small scattered spots of pitting and light rust. The copper ring sabot is in excellent condition and the center of the base has the usual lathe dimple. The body has both the upper and lower bourrelets. Both bourrelets exhibit some light chipping. Still present in the nose is the copper fuse adapter for use with the paper time fuse.
Shell was mean for use in a 4.62 caliber rifle.
This is a rare shell and not often encountered.
