This shell is unfired and in excellent condition. The body is smooth and the brass ring sabot has six small cuts for expansion purposes. One of these is chipped on the edge. What makes this shell a hybrid is its brass ring sabot and the single lead bourrelet. Usually Absterdam shells with the brass ring sabot do not have bourrelets. In the nose is a brass Hotchkiss plug for a paper time fuse.
