Small leather box to hold friction primers and carried on the belt(past terminology designated this type box as a Navy fuse box). The box is relatively square in shape to accommodate the shape of the friction primer packs. Single wide belt loop is sewn, latch tab is sewn, brass finial, outer flap to cover the contents. Stamped on the outer flap is "U.S.N." in an oval. This box is in good condition. The outer flap has typical leather cracks. The latch tab is sewn to the underside of the flap and also has a cracked surface. All of the leather is soft and stitching is still tight.  [JET]
