Here is a rarely seen sponge for a 200-pounder Parrott cannon. It is constructed of wool shag woven into a cover that fit onto the gun rammer head. Stenciled in black “200” along bottom edge. Laying flat, it measures approximately 11 ½” x 12”.  Some loss to the wool up one of the folded sides.

Something you don’t see every day.   [jet]
