This Navy fuse box is in good condition. The outer flap is excellent throughout. The latch tab is sewn to the underside of the flap and is in good condition with only minor surface crackling. Strongly stamped on the outer flap is “NAVY YARD / N.Y. / 1862” flanked by two anchors all in an oval.

The body of the box is also in very nice shape. The bottom has a brass pear shaped finial while the reverse has a single wide belt loop. The leather of the loop matches the rest of the box in condition.

All seams on the box are tight.  [ad]
