This is a very nice condition specimen of the common shell for 3” rifles. This shell retains its original lead sabot and brass fuse adapter. The three flame grooves run along the body of the shell. There is no patent information on the base cup. The iron body of this shell is clean and even retains original black paint on the sabot. The brass fuse can still easily be unscrewed by hand.
A very nice and displayable artillery shell. [jet]
