By Finis L. Bates. Published by J.L. Nichols & Co., Naperville, ILL., 1907. 309pp., ills. Red glazed cloth, measuring 7.75 x 5.75”. Exhibits light external wear & yellowing of pages. This book advances the thesis that John Wilkes Booth escaped the Union dragnet following the Lincoln assassination, living the remainder of his life in the west, under the assumed names of John St. Helen & David E.
