A complete set of three volume additions of Casey’s Infantry Tactics [By Authority] of August 1862. Hard-bound cloth covered bindings with gold lettering and American eagle impressed motifs both in gold gilt and plain. Printed by D. VAN NOSTRAND 192 BROADWAY. NEW YORK 1862. The first volume covers SCHOOLS OF THE SOLDIER AND COMPANY INSTRUCTIONS FOR SKIRMISHERS AND MUSIC. With all engraved printed page plates and foldout plates. The second volume deals with THE SCHOOL OF THE BATTALION. Again with full plate engravings and foldout plates. The third volume deals with EVOLUTIONS OF A BRIGADE AND CORPS D’ARMEE all plates present.

All three volumes measure 5 ¼” by 3 ½” .The bindings are still tight and free of damages. Covers are complete, but volume number three contains some corner dents in the lower areas. Internal pages of all three books exhibit light oxidation and some minor foxing. No attributions to original ownership.
