Dec. 10, 1901. 415pp., roster. Black glazed cloth, measuring 9.25 x 6.5., gilt cover & spine lettering. Exhibits light chipping round the extremities. Else VG. The Ninth New York “Stoneman” Cavalry was organized at Albany and Westfield, NY, in the autumn of 1861, and participated in nearly all the major eastern campaigns, including Gettysburg, where it served under John Buford. During serviced it lost 90 men killed and mortally wounded and 133 by disease for a total of 223.
