This is an 1872 first edition by Charles B. Norton and published by F. W. Christern, New York, in 1872. Book is hardcover with brown cloth covered boards with gold embossed title on spine. Front cover also has a gold embossed drawing of a Gatling Gun broken down and packed on the back of a horse. Title runs 308 pages and is well illustrated with diagrams and tables. The book meas. approx. 9.25 inches high x 12.00 inches wide. There is minor shelf wear to the cover edges and spine and the front signature is slightly weak. The interior is very clean
