Full title is “BOOTS AND SADDLES OR LIFE IN DAKOTA WITH GENERAL CUSTER.” Volume meas. approx. 5.25 x 7.50 inches with brown cloth covers embossed in gold. Front cover has title in upper left corner with a riband of music superimposed over a bugle at right. Across the bottom are a dark range of hills with the sun rising behind them. Lower right corner has “ELIZABETH B. CUSTER” boldly stamped in gold. Front cover shows some edge wear and scuffing over part of the title where a library sticker was removed. Spine has light wear along the edges with a faded title at top and another wear area from a removed library label. Back cover shows edge wear and is blank except for carved sun rays emanating from the sun on the front cover. Page edges lightly stamped with library name.

Interior has a library book plate for the “HELEN-JEAN MOORE LIBRARY. POINT PARK COLLEGE” inside the front cover. First blank page has library circulation card pocket with card. Next two pages are a nice woodcut bust view of General Custer and the title page. These are both loose. The rest of the book is tightly bound and readable. Volume runs 312 pages.

A readable original copy of a hard to come by title.
