Full title is “COMPANY A, 37TH BATTALION VIRGINIA CAVALRY C.S.A.: A HISTORY OF ITS ORGANIZATION AND SERVICE IN THE WAR BETWEEN THE STATES 1861-1865.”  Volume was written by Captain George T. Williams and published by R. H. Fishburne of Roanoke, Va. in 1910.

Volume is hard covered with gray cloth. Title is strongly embossed on front with gold lettering. Covers have light edge wear. Lower front right edge was hit by a drop of ink which has browned with age. The blot is small but it has seeped into all the page edges. However, none of the text is affected and the stain is very minor.

The book meas. approx. 5.00 x 7.25 inches and runs 41 pages with a roster of living and dead members of the company as of 1910.

Binding is excellent. Inside front cover has small bookplate from former owner.  [ad]
