Map. In brown blind-stamped glazed cloth, 7.5 x 5.5 w/black trim and gilt cover and spine lettering. Exhibit light wear at the extremities, upper rear right moderately frayed. Else VG, and handsome. Organized in the autumn of ’61, the 7th PA. Cavalry was assigned to the Army of the Ohio, an participated in numerous western actions, including Stones River and Chickamauga, in addition to the Atlanta Campaign with Kilpatrick’s Cavalry. Mustered out in August 1865, the unit lost during service 102 men killed or mortally wounded and 190 by disease for a total of 292. Solid PA cavalry regimental.  [jp]
