Green cloth covered hardbound volume in good readable condition. Full title is “THE STORY OF THE GREAT MARCH FROM THE DIARY OF A STAFF OFFICER” by Brevet Major George Ward Nichols, Aid-De-Camp to General Sherman.
Volume meas. approx. 5.25 x 7.50 inches and runs approx. 408 pages with a short index and fold out four-color map. Covers have light edge wear. Title is embossed in gold on spine and front has gold embossed Army of the Cumberland medal.
Interior is clean and binding is good. Fold map has two minor separations along fold lines. Back cover has some light staining and wear. [ad]
