Original 1st edition limited to 500 copies. Printed in 1987 the full title reads “THE MONOCACY REGIMENT: A COMMEMORATIVE HISTORY OF THE FOURTEENTH NEW JERSEY INFANTRY IN THE CIVIL WAR 1862-1865” EDITED BY David G. Martin and published by Longstreet House.

Volume meas. 5.75 x 8.75 inches and runs 321 pages with index and roster. Book has 43 black and white images of members of the regiment and several maps.

Interior is clean with some light discoloration to page edges from age.

Hardcover bound in blue cloth with title embossed in gold on the spine. Dust jacket has slight wear and surface dirt.

The 14th New Jersey served in the Middle Department’s 8th Corps and Army of the Potomac’s 3rd and 6th Corps. The regiment saw action at Locust Grove, Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Cold Harbor, Monocacy, Winchester, Fishers Hill Cedar Creek and Petersburg.  [AD]
