The full title of this volume is “ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA IN THE WAR FOR THE SUPPRESSION OF THE REBELLION 1861-1865.” The volume was compiled by Samuel M. Evans and published in 1924.
The book is a list of names of all men from Allegheny County who served in the Army, Navy or Marines during the Civil War. The roster includes Emergency Militia and Black Troops. The roster gives name, rank, company, regiment number or name, unit type and on what tablet the name of the soldier can be found on the massive memorial building that stands in Pittsburgh on Fifth Ave and Bigelow Boulevard.
Volume is bound in blue cloth with the title stamped in gold on front and spine. Covers show very little wear. Binding is tight. Interior runs 611 pages and is very clean. [ad]
