Volume briefly covers the history of the 11^th Pennsylvania Infantry and their famous mascot “SALLIE” who served with the regiment throughout the war until her death at Hatcher’s Run in 1865. A recumbent statue of SALLIE adorns the 11^th Pennsylvania monument at Gettysburg.

Written by Cindy Stouffer and Shirley Cubbison the book was published by Thomas Publications of Gettysburg in 1998.
