A non-excavated example of a free blown, black glass, quart capacity Ale or Porter bottle circa 1830-1860. This type of bottle is commonly recovered from tavern and military campsites from the Mexican War through to the Civil War period. This bottle stands 10 ½” tall and measures 3 ½” diameter across the base. No damages noted, no cracks or chips. Nice and clean condition.
