Mid- 19th century black glass, dip molded, quart capacity ale or porter bottle. These types are generally recovered from period tavern and military campsites, ranging from the Mexican War through the Civil War. This example stands 10” tall with a base diameter measuring 3 ½”. The overall condition is excellent, some very minor scratches to the surface, but no other damages such as cracks or chips.
