An example of a quart capacity, black glass, dip molded ale or porter bottle. This is a non-dug specimen of a type commonly recovered from both tavern and military campsites during the period of the Mexican War through the Civil War period. The bottle stands 10” and measures 3 ½” across at the base. Some very minor surface scratches, no other damages noted.
