Very scarce Civil War era black glass, quart capacity, three piece molded body porter bottle, circa 1850-1870. This particular specimen is an English imported example bearing the logo of its contents “VICTORIA PORTER LONDON” below a raised figure of the British royal crown, located around the shoulder. The bottle stands 9 ¾” tall and is 3 ½”diameter across the base. This is a non-excavated bottle, but does have a minor ¼” surface chip located on the base. No other damages are noted.
