(Tice MS300A2, Albert’s MS38) Excellent condition button. Face has raised arm with sword on a plain field surrounded by “MASS. VOLUNTEER MILITIA” with a letter “A” for artillery in the crook of the arm. This is a two piece button. Shank is good. Back also has a depressed mark that reads “TREBLE GILT” These buttons are made to specifications of December 1865 and all post-date the war. Size is 23mm.
