Overall this pike meas. 8 feet 4 ½ inches long. The blade is 11 ½ inches long, is double edged and has a central ridge. Stamped at the bottom of the blade is the letter “W.”
The blade sits atop a brass endcap that is riveted in place. Descending from the endcap on either side of the pike are 18 inch long iron supports that are screwed in place.
At bottom of the pike is a 7 inch long iron finial.
The wood shaft is in excellent condition and shows light surface wear and dirt from age and storage. Blade has a nice dark patina with light scattered surface pitting. The iron finial is dark to match the blade. Overall the item has a very nice untouched appearance. [AD]
