Brass two-piece medal has decorative top hangar with, “SOUVENIR” in raised letters. Small brass safety pin is soldered on the reverse.  Suspended from this is a shield shaped medal with a colored image of a Confederate battle flag. Raised lettering reads, “UNITED CONFEDERATE VETERANS REUNION”. Brass shows areas of darkening but retains most of its original gilt.
