ABRAHAM LINCOLN LIBRARY CARTOON PRINT

$24.95 SOLD

Item Code: 728-05

By artist William Coulter, whose cartoons have appeared in the Washington Post and other national periodicals. Framed in black metal, measuring 16.75 x 9.75”, with reverse hang-wire.

In this sesquicentennial year, the cartoon Lincoln figure seems humorously suggestive of actor Daniel Day-Lewis. Given his stack titles, the cinematic president appears to be boning up for his 2013 Academy award winning role in the movie “Lincoln”, beginning with Gettysburg, the scene of his brief but memorable address.
