Dated "Loi Du 4. Janvier 1792. Series 757. Dan Quatrieme De La Liberte." One-sided, printed in black w/black authorizing signature - "Laussay" - measuring 3.25 x 3". Features lower margin vignette w/two seated roman toga-ed figures holding the scales of justice and a tablet of the "Droits De L'Homme" [Rights of Man]. Light foxing and soiling on both sides w/one vertical fold-mark. Else VG, and entirely legible. Good piece of French currency from the period just prior to the guillotine "Terror" and the 1793 execution of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.
