The Valley Bank's charter was approved on Mar. 10, 1848 and the bank went into receivership in 1856. These $5 notes were engraved and imprinted by Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson, New York.  No. 3047.  Large “FIVE” in red overlay. Features Hope, Liberty & Justice.
