This bill is number T67 in Criswell’s “CONFEDERATE AND SOUTHERN STATES CURRENCY.” Item is in very good condition. Face is black with reddish overprint. Front center artwork is a drawing of the state capitol building in Nashville, Tennessee and is flanked by a portrait of Alexander Stephens on the right. The bill is numbered 54144.  Intricate blue back has a large “TWENTY” at the center, with a medallion in each corner with the number “20.” Printed by Keating & Ball of Columbia, South Carolina. Dated February 17, 1864. Overall very good condition; light soiling to reverse.

Note has not been cut canceled.
