A high grade Confederate $100.00 T-41 note. Slaves hoeing cotton top center with John C. Calhoun at bottom left. Printed by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, S.C. Dated November 3rd 1862. Serial number 37208 hand written in red ink. Plate letter Z. Printing is dark with good contrast. Crisp and clean paper. Fully framed image and nicely centered. No folds, tears, bent corners, creases, stains, or pinholes. Printed on paper that was watermarked "CSA" in block letters running vertical, however only the “A” is on this particular bill. One round stamp on the backside, from Savannah GA, in 1862. This issue is one of only a handful of Confederate notes that feature slaves in the design, which captures a glimpse of the 19th century. This is a high quality Confederate bill.   [jet]
