An original piece of Confederate money, being the $50 CSA T-66 bill featuring the President of the Confederacy, Jefferson Davis, in the center of the bill. Engraved and printed by Keatinge & Ball. Dated February 17th 1864. Third series; plate letters, AY. Serial numbed, 32145. This note has a nice shade of pink remaining on the front and blue on the back. The printing is clear and the contrast good. No pin holes or serious wrinkling. Nearly fully framed, trimmed just a bit tight at the lower, left corner. The only issue with this bill is a number is written above Davis’ head in modern pencil.    [jet]
