Mid war bond issued from the Confederate Capital at Richmond, Virginia. The bond is dated March 2, 1863 and is number 22589. The lithograph designs are a bust view of Jefferson Davis and of the city of Richmond. The printer of this bond is Evans & Cogswell, Columbia, SC and Lithography is by G. Wojciechowski. At the bottom are 7 coupons. The first was redeemable July 1, 1865 and the last on July 1, 1868. Bond is in good condition and all ink inscriptions are readable. [sm]
