An original piece of Confederate money, being the $20 CSA T-18 bill featuring central artwork of a large ship under full sail with flag atop center mast. Left border has a sailor standing by a capstan.  By Hoyer & Ludwig, Richmond. Dated September 2, 1861. Plate letter, P.  Hand written (in red ink) serial number, 3430. The printing is clear and the contrast good. Bold signatures on bottom. Several pin holes, some wrinkling, and water stains along top edge. Back is blank. Centered well and completely framed. A typical early Confederate bill.    [jet]
