Bill is in very nice condition and is not cut canceled. Engraving is done in black with reddish-brown overprint. This bill is minus the flourish over “Con” in Confederacy. Central design is portrait of Jefferson Davis. Back is decorated in blue ink with “FIFTY” in large letters. Each corner also has a small medallion with “50” in center. Bill is from 3rd Series and marked with somewhat faint black stamped number 39797. Printed by Keatinge & Ball, Columbia, S.C.
