Large pre-printed sheet filled out in ink. Document lists guards and Guard Post times around the camp of the 15th Vermont at Fairfax, Virginia. One side is for January 31st and February 1st 1863 while the opposite side is for February 1st and 2nd 1863.

Besides listing the men selected for guard that day and the Sergeants and Corporals of the Guard, the Officer of the Day is also listed as well as anyone held in confinement.

The document meas. approx. 10.25 x 15.00 inches and besides some light surface dirt it is in very good condition and very legible. There is one horizontal fold crease at center.

One side of the document is signed by 1st Lieutenant Moses Lyman Jr. of Company H and the other side by 1st Lieutenant Edward E. Herrick of Company G. Both officers served with the 15th throughout their service.
