This song sheet was published in 1864 in New York. Words are written by George Cooper and the music is by J.R. Thomas. Introduction to the song reads, “A young soldier whom was severely wounded at the Battle of Antietam, lay in one of the hospitals at Frederick. A Surgeon, passing by his bed-side, and seeing his boyish face lighted up with a peaceful smile, asked him how he felt. Oh! I am happy and contented now, the soldier replied, Last night, Mother kissed me in my dream!”

Measures 10 ¾” x 13 ¾”. Total of four pages that are sewn together. Edges have chipping and small tears. Surface dirt and water marks are present.  [SM]
