Contains a list of officers and staff officers as they appeared for muster at Estillville, VA, and the plantation of Mrs. Grimes on April 9, 1852. This attractive piece contains a long list of names which would be worthy of further research, since this was a mere 9 years before the start of the Civil War. This regiment was based in Scott County, VA, and was commanded by Col. Hezekiah P. Neal, whose signature is in the lower right corner of the document.

The 15 1/2 " x12 1/2" document is written in ink on blue paper. Exhibits some age yellowing, particularly along fold lines. Three small holes along center vertical fold line. Housed in a two-sided, 21" x 20 1/4" modern frame.
