Dated May, 1808, this return has extremely rare fully printed orders. This is a partially printed and manuscript document with an impressive signature of Captain Francis Harrington on the verso. Also on the verso is a detailed inventory of "Arms and Accoutrements" of the Regiment, which include Muskets, Baynents, Flints, Pounds of Powder, etc. It also details the number and rank of men in the First Brigade, Seventh Division of Militia. On the reverse are the rarely seen "General Directions for making Company Returns" signed in text by General William Donnison, Worcester, Massachusetts. Other than three vertical folds, document is in extremely fine condition. Measures 11 3/4" x 7 1/2" in a modern 17" x 16" frame. [ld]
