This approximately 7” x 9” sheet of paper has two pencil sketches. These illustrate the inside and outside of one soldier’s quarters…a wall tent with a log and barrel chimney built into one half of the front tent flap. The drawing on the top half of the page shows the inside of the hut with a uniformed soldier smoking a pipe and reading a letter while seated in front of a fireplace. A sword, belts, and a haversack hang on a tent pole in the corner. The lower half of the sheet shows the exterior of the tent featuring the chimney and with trees in background.
