1 page letter, in ink. 5" x 8". Dated Nicholasville Ky, April 28th, 1864. Excellent condition. Directed to a Mrs. Daugherty. Signed as Maj. Gen. Glued next to his signature is a gem sized image of Stoneman. Text is as follows:

My dear Madam
Your note of March 23rd after wandering about for over a month found me today just on the point of starting for the field. I take the ocasion offered me dear madam to beg that you will cherish in your memory and remember in your prayers your humble servant
