Front page features centered map—[“SHERIDAN’S SECOND VICTORY”]—of the Fisher Hill area of the Shenandoah Valley,  where Gen. Sheridan won a resounding victory over Jubal Early’s Confederates, following his earlier victory at Opequan Creek. Full reportage w/following headlines:  “Another Glorious Triumph….Complete Defeat of Early’s Forces….Sixteen Cannon, Caissons, Horses and Prisoners Captured…..The Rebel Army Apparently Broken Up”…….Also including news from Sherman’s forces at Atlanta—“Extension of the Times for the Removal of Families,”and from Gen. Banks federal forces in the west.

Fine newspaper collectible, especially for ’64 Shenandoah Valley buffs.
