16pp., [353-368], 4 columns, numerous illustrations. Cover features a brief story and handsome lithograph of Colonel Duryee’s famed 5th New York Zouaves, with whom Gouveneur K. Warren served as Lt. Colonel before ascending to Brigade, Divisional and Corps command. Center-fold features an immense “Pictorial map of the Theater of War, Showing Parts of the States of Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and North Carolina, and also the Coast Line from Cape Henry to Fort Pickens, With the United States Blockading Fleet.” Also striking lithographs of the Garibaldi Zouaves parading in New York City, along with the “Guthrie Grays” marching through Cincinnati En Route for Camp Denison, not to mention Gen. Sickles’ New York “Excelsior” brigade in Bivouac. In all, a fine a profusely well-illustrated issue.
In condition, near fine, with tiny mounting dots along cover left margin, with slight light smudging of front lower right corner. In protective sleeve, with white card backing.
