Vol. V—No. 228. 16pp., [289-304], 4 columns, numerous attractive lithographs, including a center-fold spread of the Federal destruction of the Norfolk Navy before its abandonment to Confederate forces. cover page features Cover page lithographs and stories of Col. Ellsworth of the New York Fires Zouaves and Col. William Wilson of the 6th N.Y. Infantry [“Wilson’s Zouaves”]. Col. Ellsworth would be ambushed and killed by shotgun Alexandria’s Marshall House before the end of the month. Col. Wilson’s 6th NY Zouave Regt. would serve its two year enlistment in Florida.

In mint condition with slight cover page smudge in lower right corner. Plus tiny mounting dots along left margin. Comes in protective sleeve, with white card backing. Attractive collective, fine display piece.
